Juventus Women's team is crowned Serie A Women champion, and Ivana Andrés' team, Inter Milan, qualifies for the Champions League for the first time.
With three matches remaining until the end of the Serie A Women, the top of the standings has seen several surprises compared to last season.
Juventus Women Champions of Serie A Women
Juventus Women have been crowned champions of the 2024-2025 Serie A, securing their sixth league title in the club’s history. The team achieved this feat after defeating AC Milan 2-0 in a decisive match, with goals from Cristiana Girelli.
This title adds to those won in the 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22, and 2024-25 seasons, consolidating Juventus as one of the most successful clubs in the history of Italian women’s football. With 55 points, Juventus FC Women has claimed its sixth Serie A Femminile scudetto, ending a drought of two consecutive seasons without winning it.
Last season, AS Roma was crowned league champions with 70 points, and in the 2022/2023 season, with 67 points—winning the scudetto two years in a row.
Led by Massimiliano Canzi, the squad has demonstrated outstanding performance throughout the season, culminating in this victory that cements their status as league champions. Undoubtedly, Cristiana Girelli has contributed directly to winning her sixth scudetto. The forward scored 19 goals and provided 2 assists, earning her the top scorer (pichichi) title in Serie A Women.

Following this success, on Saturday, May 10th, the final match of the season will be played: Juventus Women vs. Inter Milan. The match will take place at the Allianz Stadium, where a tribute will be paid to the white and blue team for their scudetto victory.
This was confirmed to the Juventus official page by Stefano Braghin, director of Juventus Women: “The match at Allianz will be a special moment, not only for Juventus but for the entire women’s movement. One of the most beautiful stadiums in Europe is opening its doors to women’s football. It’s a concrete demonstration of how much this club believes in our project.”
Captain Lisa has also been one of the standout players in the squad for this achievement. She joined in 2017 from Verona and has since lived a fairy-tale story with Juventus FC Women. Champions League nights at Allianz Stadium, scudetti, Italian Cups, Super Cups, and then lifting the trophy with the captain’s armband—she never could have imagined a more beautiful story than this one, which is ours.
The defender and one of the team’s most outstanding players was recognized as the best footballer in Serie A in 2022. Her leadership role has been crucial in keeping the team at the top of the standings.
Inter Milan qualifies for the 2025/26 Champions League
FC Internazionale Milano Women have qualified for the UEFA Women’s Champions League 2025-26. The team achieved this historic milestone by finishing second with 45 points in Serie A Women, behind Juventus, which mathematically secures their spot in the European tournament, even with three matches remaining.
This is a significant milestone for the club, as it is the first time FC Inter Milan will participate in the Women’s Champions League. The qualification was sealed with a 3-0 victory over Roma, highlighting their solid defense led by Ivana Andrés, former captain of Real Madrid and World Cup champion.
Under the management of Gianpiero Piovani, the team has shown outstanding performance during the 2024-25 season, with 13 wins, 6 draws, and only 4 losses in the league. They are also the lowest-scoring team in the Italian league.

Compared to last season, Inter Milan has achieved 11 more points this year. In the previous season, they accumulated 34 points and finished in 5th place. Piovani's team will end the season in a spectacular way by qualifying the club for the UEFA Women's Champions League for the first time in its history for the upcoming campaign.
This achievement has not gone unnoticed, and according to the coach himself, "the girls have been brilliant throughout the season."
Participation in the Champions League represents an important step in the growth and competitiveness of women's football in Italy, and Inter Milan is ready to face this new European challenge.
